Why was Samashti started ?
Samashti Foundation is a registered not-for-profit organization dedicated to enable farmers to follow sustainable agriculture practices that are environmentally, economically and socially beneficial to the community as a whole.
We are a passionate group of like-minded women from different walks of life who have come together seeing the struggles of Indian farmers and who want to make a difference in their lives and livelihoods.

We seek to aid farmers and their communities by promoting sustainable agricultural practices and methods that are environmentally sound, economically profitable, and socially good for communities. Extensive use of pesticides and fertilizers, non-scalable farming practices, lack of financial support/economic incentives/reliable information made us think about starting Samashti Foundation in 2020. We want to be change-makers and our vision is to transform as many farmers as we can towards Sustainable Development Practices.

Meet The Team
Sudha, the Founding Managing Trustee is an serial entrepreneur who has been in the kids entertainment industry for the past 11 Years She found her passion to enable farmers during COVID times when she started working with them in helping them sell their produce directly to urban consumers through her group “FARMJOY”. She is passionate about bringing changes in farming practices and in improving the quality of life of farmers.
Sudha Sundaravardhan
Kavitha was in the corporate world for more than 18 years before turning into an advocate for social issues and reducing carbon footprint through adoption of sustainable practices in all areas of living.
Kavitha Komanduri
Soumya is a social entrepreneur by passion and an engineer by profession. She brings in 10+ years of technology experience which she aims to bring for better experiences in sustainable agricultural practices. She is also a passionate advocate for environmentally friendly practices
