Samashti Foundation was born out of a shared concern for the growing challenges faced by Indian farmers and a strong belief that sustainable agriculture was the way forward. Established in 2020, the foundation was initiated by a passionate group of like-minded women from diverse backgrounds who came together with a common purpose—to create meaningful change in the lives and livelihoods of farming communities.

Witnessing the adverse effects of excessive pesticide and fertilizer use, unsustainable farming practices, and the lack of reliable information and financial support, the need for intervention became clear. What began as a vision to support farmers evolved into a dedicated mission to promote agricultural practices that were environmentally responsible, economically viable, and socially beneficial.

At its core, Samashti Foundation remained committed to empowering farmers with knowledge, resources, and sustainable solutions that enabled long-term resilience. Each step in its journey reflected a determination to drive transformation at the grassroots level, fostering healthier ecosystems and stronger rural communities.

Guided by the principle of meeting present needs without compromising the ability of future generations to thrive, the foundation continued to work toward building a future where agriculture sustained both people and the planet.
